One of the privileges of our association with such passionate wine collectors is that we are regularly asked to offer world-class wines that are perfectly suitable for our auction catalogs. As a result, our retail selections are as impressive as any offered in our record-setting auctions. The quality and depth of recent consignments is a boon for anyone in search of excellent wine at reasonable prices. Bordeaux, in particular, shines with strong vintages from 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005. Rhône reds are rife with delicious wines from Brunel, Beaucastel and Chapoutier. Superstar Supertuscans and Piedmont producers are well-represented by Gaja, Antinori and Ornellaia. Spanish choices of very high quality and value include one of my personal favorites from 1994, Torre Muga.

Valued at over $700,000, this collection is the largest single cellar consignment ever to be offered in our retail selections. The strength of this offering is most apparent in its depth of California wines, but is certainly not limited to that. There is an extensive collection of Bordeaux going back to 1961 including many top wines from the past 30 years, a wonderful collection of Burgundy including a great selection of DRC, Rhone valley superstars also shine with a plethora of great wines from Guigal and Jaboulet to name a few, and a great collection of older Italian wines from Gaja to round out the Italian focus. All purchased upon release and recently removed from a professional temperature and humidity controlled home cellar.
